The service was good and the beer was nice, though I've been to cosier spots in Windsor. I can imagine this place would be much better with the beer garden open or when a game is on.

The family room worked perfectly for our family of four for one night. It had two separate bedrooms, a bathroom, and a kitchenette, and the space was clean. There's no air conditioning, but opening the windows and using the nice fan cooled the place down fairly quickly. The inn is a great little place above a really fun, classic pub, an easy walk from the Castle and Windsor's shops and sights. On a Saturday, the pub was pretty packed with locals from early evening. A good spot for a drink or two and an enjoyable overnight stay.

A large pub garden and weekend entertainment, plus a great choice of Beers, Ciders and Ales. The staff are friendly, helpful, and polite, and service is quick. Food is high standard: Pub Food classics in the daytime, pasta and other dishes in the evening, Friday Fresh Pizza to order, and a great Sunday Roast Dinner. 9/10.

The beer choice is a big draw, with plenty of ales and ciders, including a good Belgian selection. Since moving to Windsor, this has become one of my regular pubs. I used to live nearby, and it has links to its Army days. There’s lots of space, a great garden and a really good atmosphere. They put on all sorts locally, from beer and cider festivals to Pride and live music.

I’ve been coming to Windsor for work for years and can’t believe I only just found The Windsor Trooper. This was my first visit, but it won’t be the last. Great range of proper beer.
