We liked the hotel and found it handy for everything, with helpful staff and a comfortable, roomy enough room for two. Housekeeping was available daily if wanted, though we could've used another chair. It was very quiet when we stayed in early December 2021, which suited us. The promenade, shops and restaurants are nearby, and Hoylake Station is about an eight-minute walk. Trains to Liverpool Central run every 20 minutes. The attached restaurant was closed during our visit. Breakfast wasn't worth getting up for: the scrambled powdered eggs were watery, the bacon tough as leather, and the beans stodgy. Toast was the only other English option; continental choices were cereal, yogurt pots and croissants.

Breakfast is served in an open-plan ground-floor foyer, which feels a little exposed to people passing through the entrance. Otherwise, I'd be tempted to give it five stars. The rooms are nicely fitted, the staff friendly, and it's close to the sea. Definitely a good choice for a Wirral visit.

Breakfast was lovely, and the staff were so friendly. The double bed was nice, though I'd suggest getting a king. I couldn't get the radiator's cool setting to work, so the room stayed fairly warm all night. With no mirror above the desk, I had to sit on the floor in front of the full-length one to get ready. I'm sure both things are easy to sort out!

I went to a wedding here. The place has a very modern look, and the buffet food was nice, though there wasn't much choice. Parking was a bit confusing: you need to register your number plate, but people weren't sure whether that applied to wedding guests.

The rooms, WiFi and breakfast were all decent, but I'd get down early before other guests, especially children, have been handling the food. With Covid around, it wasn't pleasant to see people pick food up by hand, inspect it, then put it back. Some of the golfers seemed self-centred, skipping the provided sanitiser and ignoring the three-person limit around the food area.
