The village is a pleasant place to stay, and there's a good bus service into Liverpool. We had a clean, comfortable lodge and first-class hospitality. Mark made us a delicious breakfast, which we really enjoyed. Thanks again, Mark.

Our visit was essential, and Mark kindly opened his beautiful Lodge for us. It was warm, welcoming and very clean. Because of C19 we couldn't have his famous breakfast, but a continental breakfast tray was left ready for the morning. We'd definitely recommend Manor Garden Lodge and hope to come back in better circumstances.

Everything had been thought of in the brilliantly equipped room, and Mark cooked an amazing breakfast. We were welcomed warmly, couldn't find anything to fault, and would highly recommend the place. What a find! We'll definitely stay again.

The rooms are exceptionally clean and lovely and warm, and Mark and Jan are perfect hosts. Their breakfasts are beautiful. I'm already missing The Manor Lodge and wouldn't hesitate to book another stay.

The room was lovely to look at, with a high ceiling, soft towels and tea and coffee facilities. Once it warmed up it felt cosy, the bed was large, and breakfast was tasty. Mark was an excellent, friendly host, and I enjoyed chatting with him. You can tell he and his wife love having guests. But there were cobwebs, the bed was too hard for me and I could feel its zip through the sheets. The TV remote was temperamental too. On arrival the heating was off and the thermostat showed 7 degrees; the floors were freezing, the underfloor heating didn't work, and it took ages for the room to reach 21 degrees. WiFi didn't reach because the room was too far from the main house. Breakfast ended at 09:30 and checkout was 10:30, both a bit early for us.
