The food was excellent, and my room was clean and comfortable. The only thing I’d change is the peppercorn sauce: it seems different from my last visit, and I liked the old recipe better. A thicker sauce would bring it back for me. I’d booked the wrong way round and hadn’t actually made the reservation I thought I had, but the team still found me a room at short notice. Everyone was welcoming and professional. I had a great stay and hope to return.

The meal made our family birthday feel really special. Everything was cooked just right, and the staff clearly worked well together. Casey looked after us brilliantly: attentive, knowledgeable, professional, and funny too. It was our first visit to Crown Lodge. We were welcomed warmly as soon as we arrived, and we all enjoyed the food and the whole experience. We’ll be back, and next time we’ll stay overnight so everyone can have a drink. Thanks to the chef and the team for a brilliant birthday meal.

It’s a long way from home, but we’ll be back. Clare and Hannah put in a lot of effort to make sure our meals arrived promptly and were enjoyable and good quality. The staff were wonderful and did everything they could to make our stay better.

We always have a lovely time when we come to the crown lodge for a family meal. There are often quite a few of us celebrating something, and the food is brilliant. The other staff we’ve met have been great too. Casey often waits on us, and his effort and service are hard to fault. He has a great attitude and personality, and makes sure we have a good time.

The studio room was immaculate, and we had a really enjoyable two-night stay. I was there with my 8 year old daughter, and all the staff were friendly and welcoming, especially with her.
