Wisemans House Apartment 1 - Wisemans Bridge

On a sunny day, I’d book a table to avoid being disappointed. There’s plenty of room indoors and out, and free parking if you can find a space. Dogs are welcome, and the views are exceptional. The food was excellent, and the kids’ meals were huge. They also know how to pour a proper Guinness. A definite must.

The beachside setting is beautiful, and it’s truly dog friendly. We had a lovely lunch today: the meals arrived promptly, piping hot and tasty, and the service was great. Unlike many places around here that raise prices because it’s a holiday destination, Wisemans Bridge Inn keeps things affordable, which is a big plus.

The food was good, and the bar staff were very apologetic, but we had a really frustrating wait. After an hour, the wrong food arrived. We repeated our actual order to the waitress, then waited another 30 minutes with no food. When I went to the kitchen to ask, they’d also forgotten the chips entirely, so I had to ask the bar staff for a refund on those. There weren’t enough staff, and no one checked back with us. Waitresses walked past and ignored us when we called. I’ve never had service like this here before. The waitresses could use more training, and there should be more of them. The weather was fantastic, though, and the atmosphere was lively.

The music in the bar was so loud that our family couldn’t have a conversation. We ordered at the bar, but several things came out wrong, including a completely missing meal. We’d even confirmed the order by writing it down on a phone, so the volume didn’t help. The waitress was extremely rude when we raised it. None of the staff we encountered were pleasant, and they made everything feel like an inconvenience. It wasn’t a nice experience for our group. They need more hospitality training, or to find careers in another sector.
