Lesley and Paul are friendly, welcoming and helpful, and the rooms are great value. Free parking is another bonus, and Reading is only a 15-minute drive away. This is my go-to accommodation in the Reading area. I stayed for a day or so last week while working nearby, and I'm back again this week.

I've been staying at Mayfields Guest House two nights a week for a few months. Lesley and Paul are very welcoming and can't do enough for you. The bedrooms and dining area are clean and tidy, and the dining space is a nice environment. The location works well for my job, and there's a pub and spa within walking distance. There's also off-road parking. I don't always have breakfast, but the one I've had was very nice. I highly recommend Mayfields. I can't fault the place or the service.

The hosts were amazing, so friendly and caring, and helpful with everything they could do. Breakfasts were amazing as well, and they even had vegan options when we asked. We had an incredibly pleasant stay. 10/10, I'd recommend staying here to everyone!

It's easy to book, and the location is good, about a 10-minute walk from Winnersh Station. Paul and Lesley make guests feel comfortable and welcome. Our visiting family always have a great time here. I can't recommend it enough, well worth a visit!

Paul and Lesley were terrific hosts, wonderfully friendly and always keen to check everything was OK. The room and shower room were scrupulously clean. It wasn't very big, but it was exceptional value. There were tea, coffee and biscuits in the room, plus the kind of soaps and shower gels you'd have at home. I chose not to have breakfast, and appreciated that they gave the rates both with and without it. I stayed at Mayfields Guest House for three nights in July 2012. I'd wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone staying in the Reading area, ahead of any number of local hotels.
