The reception team were so friendly and gave us really useful advice. One of our group accidentally left a pen and notepad in the room, and they sent them back by first-class post. Many thanks to the two ladies at reception, from Deeper Purple! The location worked perfectly for us too.

It was very quiet at the back of the building, despite being by the M6, and we had trees, fields and a sunrise to look out on. The room was large, with a comfortable bed and lovely big towels. It was mostly clean, though there was a hair in the bathroom, and some of the furniture looked worn. The bathroom taps were rusty. Still, I'd stay again.

The room was noisy from outside and inside, smelled bad, and had a sunken bed and an old carpet. The bathroom was filthy: there was black mould under the bath taps, visible when taking a muscle soak, hardly any soap in the dispenser, and a used, stinking shower curtain. The bathroom skirting was broken, and the door was dated too. We felt sick during our stay. There was nobody at reception and no bell, so we waited a long time. We paid at the toll and extra for early check-in. In its current condition, this place isn't worth staying in.

The receptionist was polite and helpful, and we had a really good night's sleep. It's basic, but the room was clean and spacious, and the beds were comfortable. We slept with the windows open and heard nothing, surprisingly quiet for where it is.
