The Woolacombe Bay Hotel

We spent the weekend here. The room had a lovely view of the beach, the bed was comfortable, and the staff welcomed us warmly and gave us good suggestions for places to go. The spa, pool and gym facilities were very nice.

We had a fantastic champagne afternoon tea for two. From the moment we arrived, the staff were friendly and helpful, and everything was just right. We’ll definitely go back soon. A must-visit on your holiday, and a lovely place to spend a damp afternoon.

We had a four-night stay, and the food was very good. It would have been nice to have more choice on the menu, or for it to change during those four nights. The staff were the most memorable part of the break. Everyone across the different departments was friendly, efficient, helpful and knowledgeable. It’s rare to get such consistently good customer service. We were unsure what to expect from the cinema, but it was on a par with a small multiplex screen. The sound was excellent, the sofas were super comfortable, and the price was excellent too, especially for a newly released film.

We phoned in August to ask about afternoon tea, and the receptionist was so lovely and couldn’t do enough for us. She checked with the chef to see if they could make one and kept in good contact. On a gorgeous sunny day, we had a lovely table with a stunning view and a massive afternoon tea, one of the best we’ve ever had. Would highly recommend.
