We spent six days at Grafton Mill with our family and came away having had a wonderful time. The grounds are lovely to explore, and there's a heated outdoor seating area overlooking the brook where you can feed some very excitable geese. For outings, you can shop in Worcester or visit Webb's garden centre, which is one of the biggest in the country, if not the biggest. The mill has been restored with real care and attention to detail, and it's full of character. Jane was a delight and clearly passionate about the place. She went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. We'd seen the glowing reviews beforehand but had taken them with a pinch of salt, thinking it might be too good to be true. Having stayed there ourselves, we found they were right and more. Thanks to Jane and Allan for making our visit so memorable. We hope to return.

The cottage has beautiful views from its many different windows, and wildlife is plentiful around the grounds. The mill pond and stream run on either side of the cottage and power the water wheel, with a lovely rotating feature inside the kitchen. This is a historic, warm and spacious place that still feels cosy, and it has everything you need. If you do need anything, the owners are there to ask. We were welcomed warmly by the owners despite arriving in heavy rain, and the welcome pack had more than enough to get the week started. The mill has been renovated beautifully while keeping many of its historic features. It's laid out across three floors, so expect stairs if you're not used to them, though they are part of the cottage's charm. We'd booked for April, but lockdown stopped us going. We rebooked for October, but our family from Switzerland still couldn't travel, so we came as a couple instead. We weren't disappointed and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We hope to return with the family when things are back to normal.

We stopped by while passing and were warmly invited to look around. It's such a lovely place, and Alan deserves credit for all the hard work he's clearly put in. You can tell it's a labour of love. Thanks to Alan and his lovely wife. We live so close that we'd stay here if we could, and we'll see you again. David.
