Matt managed to get us in earlier, which we really appreciated because our little boy needed to eat after a day at the farm. My husband usually comes for the open mic and had said the food looked good, but it was incredible: delicious, with big portions. Our son normally struggles to eat, but he ate loads. The little nooks made it feel nice and private, and the whole place was so relaxed. Matt checked on us, chatted with our little boy, and made nothing feel like too much trouble. Such a nice man, and he deserves recognition. We’ll definitely be back.

There are lots of attractions, walks, and riding routes very close by. This little hidden gem is a friendly pub with amazing food and really nice, well-maintained rooms. The evening menu has a great selection, and I’d especially recommend the cod and chips and fruit crumble. Breakfast was just as good.

After work, I dropped in to see Shaun, whom I hadn’t seen for 20 years. He’s a lovely guy and offered us a free BBQ, which we accepted. The food was excellent and the beers on tap were ice cold. I’d highly recommend it and will definitely return.

Matt was really attentive and made the evening for my wife and me as we celebrated our 28th anniversary. The food was excellent and the service fantastic. We couldn’t have wished for a better evening. Thank you so much for helping our day end on such a lovely note.
