I’ve stayed here twice recently, in September and November, and had a great full English breakfast both times. The owner went out of his way to serve it an hour before normal hours to fit my schedule. The chef, who is also the proprietor, freshly cooked both evening meals, and they were delicious. I love the faggots and mash, and can recommend the smash and sausages too. The bedroom was clean, warm, and airy, with a great en suite and snack facilities. It’s a cozy, friendly pub and inn with a lovely bar and a great atmosphere. I can highly recommend it and will be back.

Mark and Olivia were very friendly, and the pub had good food. We stayed recently on the way from Plymouth to Birmingham. A cracking pub, and I’d definitely use it again.

Mark and lib are the best hosts, the food is excellent, and the New Year’s night entertainment was great. We’ll be back very soon.

The owners made us feel at ease, and even their very friendly dog added to the welcome. My wife and I stayed for the weekend. The place was peaceful, the room was lovely, and we had a nice meal in the pub. The locals were friendly too. We’ll book again. See you next time.

We came to visit family nearby, and the location worked perfectly. The accommodation was warm, clean, and accessible for disabled guests, which suited us just right. We had a good meal in the pub, with friendly service and a warm welcome. I especially liked the crumble. We’d been hoping to try breakfast, but a storm changed our plans and we left early. A tree had fallen across the road, thankfully missing our car. We had a fabulous stay and appreciated how accessible the accommodation was. We’ll definitely come back when we’re in the area. Thank you 😊 🙏
