The grounds were lovely and peaceful, and after a day walking or hiking, the hot tub was a welcome bonus. Vicky greeted us, showed us around, and said she’d help with anything we needed. The lodge was a great size and had everything we needed, plus more, for a few days away. The location worked well too, about 25 minutes from the beach and around 15 minutes from the supermarket and Workington harbour. I’d definitely book again if I’m back in this part of the Lake District.

The lodge was clean and comfortable, with underfloor heating in the bathroom and a hot tub. There was outdoor seating and a BBQ too. It’s a really peaceful, tranquil place, and the welcome gifts were a nice touch. I’d definitely recommend it.
