We arrived for an overnight stay at The melbreak hotel and had a quick, easy check-in with a very pleasant staff member. The room was modern and super clean, and the bed was so comfortable. Dinner was gorgeous from start to finish, with great portions. The brownie for dessert was the best we’ve ever tasted. Breakfast lived up to the reviews too, and was lovely. The waitress was very friendly and even recommended a route to see the Lakes at their most scenic. I honestly can’t think of a thing to dislike. We’ll definitely return!

We were really impressed during our family stay. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and when our car had a flat tyre, one of them helped us until everything was sorted. The food was great, and our room was clean and comfortable. You can wake up and see sheep right by your window.

I stayed here every week for two years in a row. The staff are a lovely bunch, polite and accommodating, and the views and rooms are great. Everything’s really clean, and you can tell they take pride in their work and hospitality. Keep it up, guys.

We had Sunday lunch with my Mum and husband at The Melbreak on 28th December. The food was plentiful, nicely cooked and served, with the roast lamb standing out. There was a good choice of dishes. We ate at 4pm, so it wasn’t too noisy or busy, and the dining area is lovely, especially the conservatory. A shout-out to Nick, a delightful Aussie chap who arranged our table just as we wanted and was chatty and charming.

Our room was beautiful, and the facilities and refreshments were just right. The bedrooms are in a separate building from the main hotel, but it’s still quite close. The staff were really lovely, and lambs in the next field made a lovely alarm call 🥰
