The horses in the field beside the house were beautiful, and the place itself is really well built. Take a little time to look at the craftsmanship. Our host was friendly and polite. We left early, so didn’t get the chance to say goodbye and thank you, but we’d happily stay again.

The room was very clean, and supermarkets are close by. It’s a lovely, quiet place to stay. The owner and family were friendly, introduced themselves when I arrived, and made me feel welcome.

This was our third time at Oak Mead and we’re already looking forward to next year’s visit. It’s such a lovely setting, always quiet, and the accommodation is consistently clean and well kept. Menna and Tom are welcoming and friendly. We highly recommend staying here.

We spent one night in the lower room while travelling through the UK. It’s a good place to stop if you just need somewhere to sleep, as long as you aren’t expecting resort amenities. The long, single-lane drive in was enjoyable for us, and the surroundings are peaceful and full of nature. Our host greeted us warmly. There was plenty of hot water, though the room is attached to the main house and we could hear everything, including conversations.

Menna was kind and helpful, and the rural setting has some nice walks. We had a comfortable couple of days, with the everyday comforts and equipment we needed for ourselves and our dog. We’d come back.
