By my fifth visit I wasn’t stressed about the food at all and was actually looking forward to coming back. Tish and Jamie made a huge difference. Tish, who works with the kitchen staff, helped find meals I liked and made me feel comfortable eating in the restaurant with everyone. On my fourth visit I met Jamie, and he and Tish were both so accommodating. Food is something I struggle with, and they made my stays much less stressful and really lovely. A massive thank you to them both, and thanks to all the staff for being so helpful. I was there for training with firebrand at The Willows Training Centre Hotel, and visited five times in total. Each visit got better. The first room was freezing, but when I asked for another quilt, the staff were very accommodating. I’m a very fussy eater, so there wasn’t always food I’d choose. I ordered from the bar and usually brought food with me because I didn’t think I could eat anything else.

The Willows has worked really well for me on several trips for fairly intensive compressed training at Firebrand. After nine hours a day in a classroom, it’s nice to take a stroll down to the lake and along the river to decompress. The site is fairly large, so there’s space to do that. When I’m tired and hungry, I just want decent accommodation and food without any hassle so I can focus on training. The rooms are comfortable, clean and perfectly adequate, and generally quiet. There’s lots of food to choose from, and plenty of it. It’s fresh, tasty and a good standard.

The grounds are well kept, and the location is peaceful. I stayed here recently for a Firebrand course and really liked the sports bar. My room was nice and well maintained, the food was tasty, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

The food and refreshments were all very high standard, including breakfast and lunch. I ran a First Aid course today at The Willows, and the room was clean and comfortable, with good space and air conditioning. The AV equipment worked well too. Reception showed me to the room and around the facilities, then gave me a professional handover. I’d certainly look forward to running another course here.
