We tried different dishes on two evenings, and both times the food arrived hot, tasty, and in generous portions. The menu has plenty to choose from, and the staff were warm and welcoming. It's a lovely pub in a beautiful spot overlooking the Menai Stait. I'd definitely recommend it.

We stayed nearby between Christmas and new year and popped in for drinks a few times. The pub has a great atmosphere, and the staff were lovely. We also had dinner there one night, which was very nice, with generous portions.

We aren't locals, but felt completely at ease here. We had drinks outside by the water before dinner, then enjoyed tasty food in big portions. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The cosy dining room and attentive staff made a nice setting for the excellent food and beer. The portions were large and filling, and it was great value. We left happy.

We came by during the day on New Year's Eve. This is a lovely old pub right by the shore, near a sailing club, and on a fine day you can sit outside and watch the boats. One side welcomes dogs. We didn't eat, though what we saw looked good quality and generously portioned. It has lost some of the traditional pub character we remember, when locals would come in for a pint after their shoots. These days it feels more like an eatery, though some old-fashioned features remain. We preferred how it used to be, but it's still a lively place to visit. We hadn't been for perhaps 8 years.
