We first came in for afternoon tea, and the homemade cakes were so fresh that we returned the next day for lunch. The food was simple, delicious, and homemade too. We also ordered a walnut and coffee cake for our daughter's 16th birthday. It was wonderfully fluffy, with light cream, and such a treat. Thanks for the warm welcome and for helping us find a way to transport the cake.

I won't be coming back. After eating the scampi and chips, which cost £15, I was violently sick this evening and threw up three times in the bathroom. I'm now in bed with intense stomach ache. My Nanna's coffee was horrible too. The staff were very apologetic, but it shouldn't have been served.

Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, served on hot plates, and Jan & Gary couldn't have been more helpful. We spent two nights at Jireh House and loved it. The room had lovely old beams and a beautiful window, and the bed was the most comfortable we've ever slept in. We were made to feel welcome from the start. It's right in the centre of Yarmouth, and we can't wait to return.

The value was what really surprised me. For the quality and generous portions, this was an affordable afternoon tea, and I thought it was the best I've ever had. The welcome was warm and the place felt cosy. There was a lovely choice of fresh, generously filled sandwiches, including egg mayo and smoked salmon. The warm, buttery scones crumbled just right with clotted cream and homemade jam, and the cakes were moist, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. I especially enjoyed the Victoria sponge and rich chocolate slices. I'll definitely be back. 10/10!

The host was friendly, engaging, and helpful, and breakfast was beautifully cooked. The location was spot on, with a few pubs nearby and regular buses to Newport or alum bay. We had a thoroughly enjoyable two-night stay with our granddaughter. Our attic room was compact and bisuz, and it stayed very warm in the hotel weather, even with the windows open. A fan might be in order.
