The car park was really useful. We could leave our car there for the day after checking out, which we appreciated. This is a lovely, friendly B&B close to York Station, with comfy beds and a great breakfast. There are rooms on three upper floors and no lift, and it's about a 15-minute walk to York centre. That wasn't a problem for us. We'd definitely stay again.
Great rooms and breakfast, with a good car park and a handy location near the railwy Station. There's a bus service just outside if you want to get closer to York, and the walk isn't far either. 😀😀🙂🙂🙂🙂
The Apple House is a warm, cosy place with exceptionally welcoming and helpful hosts, and the accommodation is a high standard for very competitive rates. Just a short distance from the Micklegate entrance to York, it's a handy base for the bar wall and the rest of the city. Whether you're here for its rich history, a show at the Barbican or an evening exploring the wide range of pubs and restaurants, you'd be hard pressed to find a better base.
I got really bad flu the week before my visit, but cancelling was easy and they didn't charge me. That kind of honesty and kindness feels rare these days. They seem like lovely people to deal with, and I'd make this my first choice for a place to stay in York.
The cooked breakfast was lovely, and there was a good choice of cereals too. Our room suited us fine, and it's about a 15-20 minute walk into the centre. Great B&B. We'd definitely stay again.
