At night you can hear the pub next door until it shuts. The apartment is tucked around the back, so it doesn't look out over the water like the photo suggests.

Booked through Airbnb, we found it a lovely apartment and a perfect base for visiting York. There was a private parking space for us underground.

The apartment sits by the river, with its own parking space and modern facilities, including Wi-Fi. It was easy to get into York city centre, too. Superb.

A good location, and the place was clean, quiet, a nice size, and fully equipped. I'd book it again.

We had the third-floor apartment, with a view over the river. It was well placed near the centre and had everything we needed. Since we were there over Christmas, they had even put up a tree. The cleaning could be better. Also, only providing four coffee pods didn't make much sense, though that's just my opinion. I didn't find their refusal to let us check in a few hours early very courteous either. One thing missing from the listing was how noticeably sloped the apartment is. Walking around felt like we were being pushed forward, and the doors wouldn't stay open unless we wedged them with the little piece of wood.
