That little private garden opening straight off the lovely living room is such a treat. The flat is beautiful throughout, with thoughtful extras including chocolates and a note made out to me. Chris gave me a really warm welcome and was helpful with everything, even when I managed to lock myself out. The location works brilliantly for the centre and for visiting students, and there’s a separate desk area that would suit a work trip too. I’ve stayed in plenty of York apartments while visiting, and this one is miles ahead. Make it your first choice.

The bed was lovely and comfortable, and the apartment was spotless. Brilliant place.

The only letdown for me was the bed. I’m used to a firm mattress and found this one too soft, though that may just be my preference. Otherwise, the apartment was warm, very clean, and had everything we needed for a short break.

Parking nearby was fairly easy to find, though the streets are very narrow, so take care driving. Inside, the flat was clean and well organised, with lovely decor. I only wished there’d been a coat hook by the entrance.

We booked two apartments on a very quiet street, and they were both well equipped. The location suited our plans perfectly. We’ll definitely book again.
