A good-value B&B in a handy spot, easy to walk into central York and quiet at night. The breakfast was delicious. Thanks, Lynne and Nigel. Call to book, and note they prefer cash payment.

A small B&B with rooms and a shared bathroom. Breakfast was very good, and there’s a private, enclosed car park. It’s only a 15-minute walk to the city centre. The lady was very friendly, and the quality for the price was good.

Lynn and Nigel are so accommodating, and it was a pleasure getting to know them. They made us feel at home, with nothing being too much trouble. The breakfast was lovely and set us up for the day. I don’t usually leave reviews, but they went the extra mile, so I wanted to make the effort. We’ll certainly visit again. Thank you, Lynn, you were brilliant. Roy and Audrey.

Lynne and Nigel are so welcoming and enjoy chatting with guests. They were also happy to share useful information. The house feels homely and inviting, with biscuits and tea and coffee sachets in the rooms, plus a wide choice of breakfast in the morning. It’s in a pleasant neighbourhood with greenery and flowers, shops close by, and an easy route into town along either the river or the main road. This was our second stay at Greenside B&B, and we’d happily come back. We’re looking forward to our next visit. Thank you, Lynne and Nigel.

We’ve had happy Christmas market trips here two years running. Lynne and Nigel are lovely, the breakfast is amazing and keeps you full until teatime, and the walk into the city centre is short. The hosts are always helpful with suggestions for places to eat and other recommendations.
