Penleys Apartment

This was our second stay in the apartment, and we’ll be back for a third. It’s a great place, only a five-minute walk from York centre, with everything needed for a short visit. The allocated off-street parking space is a bonus, and the host communicated really well. Booking direct with violethomes can save a bit of money.

We stayed three nights in August. It isn’t a cheap apartment, but the furnishing is to a very high standard, so I thought it was worth every penny. It’s in a nice, quiet location, only about five minutes’ walk from the city centre, and every apartment has its own parking bay. I’d highly recommend it and would definitely stay again.

Penley's Apartment has recently been completely refurbished to a lovely standard, and everything felt brand new. It had all we needed for a short stay, including the very important ice in the freezer for a welcoming York Gin G&T. For a one-bedroom apartment it felt airy, with a comfortable bed, a nice dining area and a sofa that pulls out. We relaxed there watching England on the 50' smart TV. The off-street parking was useful, so we didn’t have to worry about putting a permit in the car. A tip: reverse into the space at the back. The location is just a couple of minutes from the City Walls and Minster, and Goodramgate is through the Bar walls with plenty of places to eat. There’s lots of Indian food to choose from. We ate at the Viceroy and enjoyed it, and plenty of other options are just a short walk away. A large Sainsbury's nearby made it easy to pick up what we needed. A great base for enjoying York!

Beautiful, comfortable and clean apartment, with parking on site and just a few minutes’ walk from everything York has to offer. Communication with the host was brilliant. Couldn’t recommend it more.
