Skipbridge Farm Shepherds Huts

We stayed on 3 February 2022, after my daughter arranged a getaway to give me a break from a stressful few months. It turned out just right. The cottage was beautifully decorated, had quality furnishings and utensils, and was equipped with what we needed. The hot tub was amazing, and the farm animals looked really well cared for. We enjoyed walking around to see them, and the surroundings were so picturesque. The staff and family were friendly and trusting. I also made friends with Bobby, the world's friendliest cat. We can't wait to return and make this a regular place to stay. Thank you. 💕

The bedding was fresh and the bed comfortable, which made for a relaxing night after a long day. The cottage was clean when we arrived, check-in was easy, and the decor suited the setting while still feeling luxurious. We had everything we might need, from cookware and crockery to cutlery, dishcloths, bin bags and white goods. There were nice photo spots and little corners around the property. The glamping site looked good too, though that sort of stay isn't really my thing. It had Shetlands, goats, chickens, Llamas and a rather odd-looking bird I couldn't identify. We booked for one night while the kids spent the day at the festival. I'd definitely recommend staying here and will probably come again.

We had a lovely time in Number 1 The Stables for two nights. It's a spacious, well-equipped cottage with a secure back garden, and they even provided firewood. The next door cottage can see into the garden, though that didn't get in the way of using it. The main road is busy and can be noisy, but it didn't affect our stay.

No4 felt like a home from home, with a relaxed atmosphere and all the usual things supplied, including pots, pans, cutlery, utensils and a washing machine. We only spent one night and didn't get a chance to look around the site. It's on an A road, about 30 minutes from York, with a park and ride nearby. Simply beautiful, and we'd come back.
