There’s parking for two cars, and town is only a 15 minute walk away. The place is spacious, with a quirky layout, beautifully decorated and immaculately clean. It had everything we needed for a perfect stay. I cannot rate this property highly enough. Just perfect. Stayed October 2025.

The Lightwell is a unique, architect designed property, light, bright and spotless, with off road parking for two cars. It’s spacious enough for up to six people, and everything about it is 'QUALITY'. The owner has a very discerning eye for detail. They kindly left a bottle of wine and chocolate biscuits to welcome us, and those went down rather well. York centre is an easy 10/15 minute walk, with endless cafes along the way. Book it if you can. Would we go again? Certainly yes.

Lots of lovely amenities, with a spacious layout and really nice decor. The large eat in kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils, and natural light came in through the windows and skylights. I’d absolutely book again.

A fantastic property with a fantastic host, and a very warm welcome when we arrived. It was very clean and well kept, with every appliance we’d need for the stay. The light well is amazing for sitting and relaxing. Lovely location, a short walk from the city centre and near shops, cafes and pubs.
