Whitehouse Apartments- Apartment C

We left soon after arriving because there was mould on the walls throughout the house. We’d come to the property, but the conditions weren’t suitable for staying, so we had no choice but to go.

I’ve stayed here several times when visiting York. It’s comfortable and has everything you need. There’s a riverside running route nearby, parking on site, and a great bus service into York with a stop right outside.

The beds were extremely comfortable, and the apartment is beautiful, with lovely furniture. The bus stop is right outside, so it’s only a short ride to York city centre. A taxi costs roughly £10, sometimes a little more. We booked the three-bedroom place and couldn’t use the garden. The bedrooms also need curtains. The sun woke us up, and we didn’t get a full night’s sleep.

The apartments are great and good value overall, but there were several small problems. The downstairs toilet door wouldn’t shut properly, and the locks on both it and the other toilet were broken. In one room, the previous guests had let their kids draw on the walls. The twin room’s bed was broken. It had only happened the day before we arrived, and the owner was at their wits’ end trying to find a replacement.
