Nicholas was kind and attentive throughout, and did a great job looking after guests. He brought a good breakfast to my room. The place itself was clean, comfortable, and nice. Thank you very much!

The owner is very kind, and the breakfast was probably the best I had in Georgia. The place is great if you smoke, but the cigarette smell was a problem for me. There’s a chair and ashtray downstairs where the owner smokes, and the smoke rises into the rooms. Maybe he doesn’t smoke while guests are there, but the smell has already sunk into the walls. If you dislike cigarette smells, go somewhere else.

The castle is just up the hill, and the bus station is five minutes away. From the windows there’s a great castle view. The guesthouse has two bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, which is very rare at this price, and there’s a kettle too. Nicholas was really helpful. He speaks German and a few words of English, booked our onward bus to Gyumri, and came with us to the station at 6:30 in the morning to say goodbye.
