The room had a sensible layout and came with tea and coffee. But once the twin beds were separated, the furniture had to be moved around, which made the room feel more cramped.

The breakfast setup was cramped, with limited food and a tiny area to serve yourself, so mornings felt like a zoo. There’s only one lift for three floors, and checkout came with queues. The hotel gets large tour groups, and the rooms feel tired. Our double-glazed windows wouldn’t shut properly. It’s about a 10-minute walk to the old town, and I did see a nice hotel inside the castle grounds.

I stayed one night a couple of weeks ago and left my wedding ring in the room, stupidly. The staff found it, kept it safe, and even coordinated sending it back to my country of residence by international mail. I can’t thank them enough for their honesty, care, and dedication. Mr. Amiran, the director, the front desk team, and housekeeping all showed real kindness. The hotel is centrally located, and both the service and breakfast are excellent.

The downstairs restaurant was excellent and very reasonably priced, with very good service. The room was clean and the bed was satisfactory. There were coffee and tea facilities too. The TV was very small, but I didn’t need it anyway.
