Such a welcoming place, and the people were lovely. They offered us wine and Chacha on the house, but we had to pass since we’d had way too much of both the night before.

The river and birds made this stay feel special. You could hear the water from our room, and birds were singing each morning. The room itself was basic, but clean, with its own bathroom. We first planned to stay one night, then added four more and enjoyed every bit of it. It’s a simple, very authentic house where you live alongside locals and get a feel for life and traditions in Racha, rather than a hotel. Timur and Madonna were incredibly kind and did their best to help with anything we needed. We loved chatting with them over homemade wine. Madonna cooked wonderfully, including delicious pancakes and shkmeruli. Breakfast and dinner were homemade, organic, and plentiful. There was so much we even packed leftovers to eat on the road. I’d love to come back someday.

We arrived while Timur was making chacha, so we got to see how it’s made and taste some, with Madonna’s fluffy pancakes on the side. We left with 2.5 liters of chacha and a kilo of apples :) Madonna and Timur were friendly, and the room and bathroom were both very clean. The room was cozy, warm, and stylish, too.

The hosts were caring and sweet, and breakfast in the yard was a yummy, home-style meal. My room had wooden floors, a clean bathroom, and a nice view. The place is in a quiet spot by the river, with the center and shops just 5 minutes away on foot. It’s also a 25-minute walk from the airport.
