I spent a whole month at the Panorama during the off-season, and it was a great stay. My unit was small, but cozy and clean, with lovely views over the mountains and pasture. The building is well maintained, and the front desk has staff during the day. There's a large, convenient store right beside the building, and town takes about 15 minutes to walk to at my pace. For hiking, a nice trail network begins 100 yards behind the building in the pine forest. The one drawback is the hill from the main street: when it rains, it turns into a mud pit and is hard to walk up. Hopefully the town fixes it soon. I recommend the place completely.
