After seeing it recommended on TikTok, we booked three nights as a couple. The stay was a letdown. The villa is old and neglected, with a damaged, unsteady floor and broken doors that made it feel unsafe, especially for families with kids. There’s no air conditioning, just basic fans, and the fireplace leaves a bad smell in the house. We also found mold in the kitchen cabinets, the shower is extremely cramped, and the WiFi barely reaches the second floor. The price feels inflated for the condition and experience. It wasn’t worth the money.

Being able to walk to restaurants in the evening was a real plus, and we liked making our own breakfast each morning. Villa Mtashi is spacious and centrally located, so it was easy to get around. We had a fantastic 10-day stay in Bakuriani and would gladly come back. We’re already planning another ski trip next year.

Tucked by the forest, the cottage had clean air and access to fresh, untouched snow. It felt cozy by the fireplace, and the kitchen was fully equipped. There were barbecue facilities and firewood on-site too. It’s close to the center and ski tracks, between Didveli and Kokhta, but away from the crowds and traffic.
