Acord Hotel & Balcony

Andre was so welcoming, always offering help and even bringing us hot coffee. The staff member who worked there was really friendly too. My friend and I had a great time at this hostel. Our room and the hotel were clean and comfortable, with a lovely view of both the beach and the mountains. The location made it easy to walk to the sea, the Ali Nino statue, and the Alphabets tower. I’d definitely recommend it to travellers visiting Batumi.

We spent three nights here, and changing rooms didn’t solve all our concerns. The other rooms still didn’t feel clean enough, the shower curtain fell on my head while I was showering, and there was no safe or mini fridge in the room. There also wasn’t a receptionist on site. We had to communicate through WhatsApp, which left us feeling uneasy. The first room was much worse. It smelled awful, and we later found mold on the wall. At first we thought the odor came from poor ventilation, but it was so strong that we had to sleep with the window open despite the cold Batumi weather. When we pointed out the mold, they said they hadn’t known about it. I found that hard to believe given how overpowering the smell was, and it felt as if they thought we were fools. Even now, my clothes still smell moldy. It was a very bad experience.

For the price, the location is hard to beat, and check-in and check-out were easy. The rooms and bathrooms are dated, but that was okay with me. The walls are thin, though as a solo traveller that didn’t bother me.

It felt almost like being at home, with lovely surroundings and a stunning view. The guests were friendly, and everything about the place was nice. The rooms were warm, comfortable, and very clean. I’d recommend visiting at least once and enjoying it. ☺️
