A really nice family!

The TV stayed on day and night, and there were other people's clothes in every closet. We also found out the bathroom was shared, even though the description made it seem private. I had noticed the shared kitchen in the listing, so that part was my mistake. The nice photos had drawn us in, but these downsides outweighed the good points. Within a couple of minutes, we found another place for the same price, right in the heart of the old town, with a private kitchen and bathroom.

Passing cars shine their headlights straight through the windows, and between the road noise and mosquitoes, the night is unforgettable. The air is stale and unpleasant, there's a lot of dampness, and the place feels like a basement. The furniture looks 50 years old, and the renovation is only a little newer. These are actual recent photos of the apartment. I really wouldn't recommend staying there.

It's a lovely house with great hosts and a convenient location. Parking nearby matters a lot in Batumi.
