Aristocrat Batumi Hotel

We only stayed one night, but the location was handy. Ali Nino statue and alphabet tower are both walkable, and there are pubs and little cafes close to the hotel. The rooms were spacious enough and clean. Breakfast was fine, though I didn’t find it tasty.

The view over the old city and mountains was lovely, and the beach is just a five-minute walk away. The hotel sits right in the heart of old Batumi, close to little shops and plenty of well-known restaurants and bars. My room was comfortable and had useful things like a kettle and fridge, plus fresh towels sealed in plastic. There’s also a restaurant and a wine shop on site, where you can try wine for free. I was completely happy with the hotel!

We’d booked two nights, but the receptionist had a swastika tattoo on his arm. I doubt it was connected to Hinduism, so we cancelled our stay right away and had to find somewhere else.

The location is the hotel’s only good point, and that’s the sole reason for my rating. We were charged too much because the receptionist and manager made confusing decisions and didn’t handle things professionally. The rooms are extremely small and have no sound insulation. The bathroom didn’t work properly, the sheets were old and damaged, the fridge wasn’t working right, and the room walls were damaged.
