This was my first time leaving a bad review. We won't be back. From arrival, reception seemed uninterested in explaining how things worked, and our room cards wouldn't operate the elevator. We were stuck until another guest used it. Even after staff said they'd fixed the cards, they failed again because access to our floor hadn't been granted. Breakfast was a letdown, with almost no choice beyond omelets made at the live station and a few cheeses. In the room, the TV didn't work on the first night, supposedly due to a hotel-wide problem. The next night the AC quit in the middle of the night. It was boiling, and we woke up sweating; a technician took 20 minutes to fix it. Room service was just as frustrating. We ordered two cappuccinos and croissants, but the person on the phone didn't know the menu. After 40 minutes with nothing delivered, we canceled. We complained to the manager downstairs, who offered to send coffee, but that took another 15 minutes. This is nowhere near five-star quality.

We enjoyed our three nights at Sheraton Batumi, especially the clean, tidy rooms and pleasant grounds. The loop was great, and the sunbeds were comfortable. Breakfast was tasty, and the breakfast staff were polite. The slow service was the main disappointment. At the pool, orders took a long time and were often mixed up, including drinks. Reception service also left us less than satisfied, though the rest of the stay was good.

Breakfast at Sheraton Batumi Hotel had plenty of fresh, tasty choices, and my room was clean and comfortable with lovely city and sea views. The staff were friendly and helpful, making sure I had what I needed. I had a very pleasant stay and would come back.

I went to the spa, and the showers need remodeling since most didn't work properly. The steam room wasn't warm enough, and there was no cold water inside. That was a disappointing surprise for what I expected from Sheraton.

The central location and nice hotel couldn't make up for a bad experience. Housekeeping came into my room three times, waking me around 8:30 am on the first visit. I told them I was leaving at noon, but the staff still didn't seem to communicate with each other. The TV also turned on by itself very loudly in the morning, I guess from reception. Breakfast was okay, but I felt the hotel was too expensive for what it offered.
