The host was so friendly that they waited for us from 5 to 6 a.m. It's very close to the botanical gardens, and the beach is just a few hundred meters away. The location is a good value compared with the high accommodation prices in town, though it's far from the center. Getting into the city is easy by YANDEX taxi. For first-time visitors, finding the place may be tricky. I'd set navigation to the bus station beside the main road. We arrived in early May, and the bad weather left the room damp. The air conditioning helped. The bed is two separate beds rather than a queen, and the quilt was very old and needed replacing. Fortunately, we'd brought our own sheets. There were a few minor issues, but we still had a pleasant trip.

The owner and family were very helpful, even making every effort to send back something I'd forgotten. The rooms and shared areas were kept clean. It's a five-minute walk to the beach, crossing the railway. Power outages happen sometimes, so it's a good idea to get a local SIM and fully charge your battery. Hopefully I'll stay here again!

Staying in Makhinjauri instead of a big hotel downtown turned out to be a great choice for our Batumi trip. The owners were very friendly, and we cooked some traditional Georgian dishes together. Our rooms were clean and seemed freshly renovated. The beach is just a minute away on foot and much less crowded than the city beach, while the botanical garden is close too. It's also only five minutes by car to the train station. I'd recommend this place to anyone planning a trip to Batumi.

The family made us feel so cared for, and we had a perfect stay at this guest house. You can see the sea from the rooms and balconies, and the beach is just a two-minute walk away. We'd recommend it for a short visit or a longer stay.

The people there were lovely and really listened to us. It's between the botanical garden and Batumi center. Walking isn't easy, but getting around by car is fine.
