Nika made the stay feel like being at home, he's a really nice owner. The place was clean, and I had a blast there for two nights. One of my best trips around the world. I'd recommend it to anyone coming to have fun in Batumi.

There are shops and cafes all around, and public transport can take you across the city or out to the surrounding area. The hotel itself is small, with nicely furnished, clean rooms and free Wi-Fi. It's right in central Batumi, about a 10-minute walk from the waterfront and its sights. Niko is a wonderful host, and the staff are friendly and attentive. The whole place feels warm and welcoming, almost like a family.

The location wasn't great for us. The cable car is nearby, but everything else felt far away. What really bothered me was trying to shower at 8 a.m. before leaving when there was no hot water. I had a cold, so a cold shower wasn't an option. At reception we learned the boilers had been switched off overnight, and they said hot water would be back in 10 minutes, but it clearly didn't heat up that fast. The Wi-Fi in our room barely worked at one point, there was no toilet paper, and for two days the curtain rod, eaten by woodworm, made the matching noise. It was generally tolerable, but those things annoyed me.

I recommend this nice place for its price and location. The location does need correcting, though, since it's shown in one place when it's somewhere else.
