The sea is close, and the botanical garden isn’t far, but getting there is awkward because there’s no road. Our stay was awful. The plumbing didn’t work, the rooms were stuffy and smelled of sewage, and the mattresses sagged and were full of fleas. After we moved out, the owners called to complain about the mess, including the towels and bed linen, even though everything had been cleaned, especially for such unfriendly people. A very bad experience.
For the low price, the amenities are about what you’d expect. The welcoming hosts and the closeness of the sea and excellent botanical garden make up for any shortcomings. The garden is a must-see.
We ended up moving out, and the owners cursed at us as we left. I’ve never seen such a horrible place. The rooms were stuffy and smelled of sewage, with no exhaust fan; the bed linen was old and faded, and the mattresses were dirty and stank. The grounds were neglected and covered in dirt and trash, with only two grimy gray benches for outdoor seating. There was no sign of the garden advertised on the website. The owners seemed unstable and ill-mannered, reacting hysterically to any comment. If you want to ruin your vacation, this is the place! We didn’t like a single thing.
The power goes out often, water runs short, and the sewers get clogged 😑
