The landlord had seemed hospitable at first, but after we found black mold behind the furniture and cockroaches in the kitchen the day after moving in, he said he’d already spent the rent money on a washing machine. When we offered to return the rental, he said he could get the money back through the courts. That was pretty rude. I’d avoid these people, or at least inspect every inch of any property they offer. They’re sly in a bad way.

A large dog attacked us at the hotel entrance. For some reason, they keep a dog there that barks at every visitor.
