The sea is right across the road, with lovely sunsets, and the house is surrounded by greenery. Meals are available to order for an extra charge, and the prices are very reasonable. We first stayed at this cozy guesthouse six years ago, and came back this time with our mothers. Alik makes amazing coffee, and Ferida is so welcoming that it felt like being at grandma's in the village. It was comfortable and warm. Great value for the money, and I'd recommend staying here.

The hosts' warmth and care made the stay especially welcoming. The terraces have gorgeous views, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfasts are generous and delicious. Many thanks to Alik for the lovely coffee, too.

The outdoor area has a lovely sea view, but the hotel sits above the only road into Batumi, so traffic noise is constant. They say that should get better next year when the bypass is built. The sea is about a five-minute walk away, either by road or by a quicker path that leads to a pleasant summer cafe on the shore. Private parking and free laundry are available, and meals are offered at very reasonable prices. It's a small, homely place with some of the cheapest rooms in Makhinjauri and the surrounding Batumi area. Our room had old furniture, and the doors would swing open when you walked nearby. The air conditioner was very loud and struggled to cool the small room. The room was separated from the rest of the room by a glass door with a curtain on the other side, which surprised me. The toilet and bath are together, though at this price it's hard to find a separate shower in Batumi. The bathroom door couldn't open all the way because the hallway floor was crooked. A few days before our holiday ended, wallpaper under the window came loose and exposed a wall completely covered in mold. The people working there were nice, but I don't want to return.
