Our large family group stayed for more than 10 nights, and some of us cried each night because we wanted to go home. The elevator took over 15 minutes, so with morning plans to keep, we were always afraid of being late. This place doesn’t operate like a hotel: there’s no cleaning service, and urgent problems don’t get fixed quickly. The managers have too many apartments to look after, and cleaning seems to get neglected. We dealt with mold, sour smelling unwashed bedding, a used condom, a leaking washing machine, and a shower that wouldn’t drain. Repairs took 3-4 days, then other problems showed up. Those are only a few of the dozens of issues we found. We absolutely don’t recommend it. Booking directly with highly rated Airbnb hosts would be a better choice.

It took ages to get checked in, and the first room they gave me was already occupied. The next one smelled bad. The property was crowded and poorly kept, and we spent minutes waiting for the elevator. The receptionist was very rude. I wouldn’t choose it again.

Right in central Batumi and close to the beach, Grand City Apartments made for a really enjoyable stay. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and furnished in a modern style. The staff were attentive and friendly, ready to help whenever needed. I’d recommend staying here if you’re visiting Batumi.

We’d had awful experiences with several other hotel owners in Batumi, so the kind, welcoming staff here stood out. The room was clean, the view was great, and it was a peaceful place to stay. I’d happily recommend it to anyone visiting Batumi. You can call them directly to book, and they’re glad to help.

We’re only a few meters from the sea, and can see it from the balcony. There’s construction nearby at the moment, so it gets somewhat noisy during the day, but the soundproof glass does a great job. You can really hear the difference when you open the balcony door. For a longer stay in Batumi, this has been the best place we’ve found in Georgia. The apartment has everything we need, smells nice, and has been cleaned wonderfully. Mari has also made sure we were happy whenever we had a small issue or request.
