Grand Royal Apart-Hotel

The breakfast was a daily letdown: it seemed to be first come, first served, and once something ran out it wasn't replenished. One morning there was no milk, another there was no butter, and the breakfast staff were extremely impolite. Even their yes sounded rude. The coffee in the room came as three sachets, with no milk or sugar. We were promised a one-bedroom apartment with a sofa bed, full daily service, breakfast, and free Wi-Fi. Instead, Room 1814 had no Wi-Fi, a mattress with holes, and a sofa bed that was impossible to sleep on. We waited three hours on the first day for toilet and bathroom supplies. After that there was no service unless we insisted, and then our towels were changed once and the garbage was taken away. Reception kept insisting Wi-Fi was available when it wasn't. The staff were the rudest I've ever encountered. We spent three agonizing days there. The worst experience of my travels. Be aware of the broken promises. I would never recommend this apartment.

The studio rooms are good, and the balcony has a nice sea view. The VIP suite rates are good too. Breakfast, though, felt lackluster.

There's a supermarket and plenty of small shops nearby, and Dancing Fountains, Dolphinarium, and 6may park are close too. You can walk or take a taxi for 2___7 lary. The hotel is near the sea, with a sea view from the balcony. My room was clean, and I rode a bicycle on the boulevard right in front of the hotel every day.

The breakfast was very good, and the view of the Black Sea is beautiful. A very good hotel to stay at in batumi.
