The street went dark when the electricity went out just as we arrived. There were lots of people sitting and chatting outside, which felt a bit strange. The low price may explain it. It could work for a quick stop or one night, but I'd think twice before booking a longer stay.

The statue made by Saakashvili is beautiful and, to me, a success. Erat is one of Batumi's most popular tourist attractions, with visitors often taking pictures and seeming very pleased with the nude statue.
