The location is handy, and there’s a kitchen guests can use. The owner is kind and looks after people, and things are at least somewhat clean. But the price is really the main draw, and I’m not sure it makes up for how uncomfortable I felt. The beds smell, water drips from the ceiling, and the whole place looks like it hasn’t been renovated in a hundred years.
I had a booking here, but they told me they’d lost their Hostelworld account. That meant I couldn’t cancel the booking or get a room. Their name was still on Google Maps and on the commercial license, so I don’t understand what they’re doing.
I tried a few hostels in Batumi, and this one was cleaner, safer, and much better than the others. Rusiko, the older Georgian owner, is always around and ready to help when guests need something. Thanks, Rusiko, for a great stay!
People from the street come and go at night, then walk into the dorms and snoop around. I wouldn’t stay here if you want your belongings safe or a decent night’s sleep. Find somewhere else.
