The room was cramped, the air conditioning didn’t work, and there were exposed wires in the shower. The hostel also didn’t match its listing. We booked because of all the 10/10 ratings, then found out those seemed tied to a contest for a toilet or a holiday. There are repeated pleas around the hostel asking guests for high scores, which made the ratings feel even less convincing. You can find somewhere just as cheap or cheaper without that concern.

We arrived with our 20 kg bags in the rain after they sent us on a 10-minute walk to their other hostel, saying they had space there. They didn’t have a bed for us at the original hostel, and there was no space at the second one either. The staff were really rude and impolite. A very bad experience.

The room got unbearably hot, and with no mosquito screens on the windows, it was hard to sleep because of the mosquitoes. We couldn’t use the air conditioning since they kept the remote hidden. Breakfast was awful, and the owner kept lying. Stay away.

The rooms felt cramped and poorly ventilated, with mold on the furniture. Our sheets were dirty, there was no hot water, and the bathroom wasn’t usable. This place is also listed on booking.com as InterCity hostel, so be warned. Take your money elsewhere.

They showed rooms as available, so I reserved one, but there was nothing for us when we got there. They pointed us to a sister hostel across the city and offered no help with the transport cost.
