Hotel Corner Inn

We booked two suite rooms for our family of six. The location was a highlight, near Grand mall and surrounded by shops, groceries, restaurants and Turkish restaurants. From the rooms, we could see both the sea and the city from above. The beds were comfortable, breakfast was good, and the reception staff were friendly. A porter was ready to take our luggage to the rooms. Cleaning was available every day, and the rooms had slippers, body lotion and small shampoo. There was also a kettle with tea and coffee. The building is old, and there was a bad smell in the bathrooms and hallways. They should use air fresheners and disinfectants. The rooms had no facial tissues or blankets, and there were no brushes or toothpaste. Since the rooms fit four people, they should provide four mugs. Some towels were too small for showering. The balcony was nice but could be dangerous for children. Wi-Fi came with just one voucher for one device and one person. You couldn’t reuse it for other devices, and the signal should be better for a hotel in the city center. Noise from outside and from the next room carried easily. I’d also suggest adding desserts and cakes to the breakfast buffet. Even with those issues, it was a nice stay, and I especially liked being near Grand mall.

The carpets in the rooms were dirty, the furniture was old, and the breakfast buffet was very poor. The toilet was right up against the sink. Service was awful. The managers didn’t want to help, and there was no Russian or English spoken. They wouldn’t assist with simple things like getting a knife for a watermelon, or even essential matters because they didn’t know the hotel’s check-out procedure. I regret choosing this hotel.

Hotel Corner Inn will be my choice when I visit Batumi again. The room was spacious, the hotel was very clean, and I had an amazing view from my balcony. Staff were polite and helpful. The restaurant food was very good, and the tables on the second floor were clean and well arranged, with a good view too. If you’re an Arab or Muslim guest, I don’t recommend this place at all. There was no water and no cleaning. If room service cleans the room, I have to pay. My kid vomited on a towel and they charged me 160 Gel. Reception and customer relations staff were both very bad.
