Hotel Hayat

We stayed three nights and were warmly welcomed. Georgian hospitality was a real pleasure again. The hotel felt cozy, almost like home, and the staff were friendly and helpful. It had everything guests need. We're vegan, and they adjusted the menu for us, which was well worth it. The location is convenient, with the embankment a 10-minute walk away and supermarkets, cafes, shops, restaurants, and other amenities nearby. I'd happily stay again, especially since they say they'll add another building by next season with an outdoor pool, fitness center, spa, and parking.

There was never anyone at reception, and the service staff were basically nonexistent. The elevator didn't work from the first day. When I asked about repairs, all I got was "Tomorrow," and I swear on my mother. I finally found the guy on day four and yelled that he was a scammer; he was offended. The elevator only started working on day five. During my 10 days, the room was cleaned just once. I asked the cleaning lady to clean it, and in broken Russian she said, "I don't work here anymore! Let others clean!" When I spoke to the administrator, the so-called Ilya, he said, "I'll try to find someone!" Nothing came of it, and Ilya disappeared for several days. I've never seen such a disgusting hotel. They're all scammers!

I had to spend the night at a nearby hotel, then move in the morning. The receptionist treated me in a racist way and asked for more than I’d booked. I wouldn’t recommend dealing with them. A very bad experience.

They confirmed my reservation even though the hotel is closed. Be careful, and don’t book there.
