O. Galogre Hotel

They made us feel welcome from the start. Even though we had no reservation, the friendly staff found us a room at the last minute. It was excellent and clean, and breakfast was good too.

The breakfast was awful, with stale food from the day before, no variety, and no hot milk. Housekeeping was poor too. The towels, cups, and spoons were dirty, and they didn’t replenish the toiletries unless we asked. Then they told us to collect them from reception and gave us only a small bottle. We had a miserable six-night stay at O.Galogre Hotel in Batumi. We were in the older section, which felt neglected, and it lacked basics like tissues, trash cans outside the bathroom, conditioner, and body lotion. The air conditioning barely worked, while church bells and traffic kept waking us and made it hard to sleep. The suite setup was especially uncomfortable, since its only A/C was in the living room, with none in the bedroom. When that A/C wasn’t working at all, we had to downgrade to a normal room. Even after that, we moved rooms twice because of ongoing A/C problems. The bathroom was dated and rusty, with no handheld showerhead and a broken soap dispenser. We also dealt with faulty locks, no safe, unreliable Wi-Fi, and mosquitoes after housekeeping left the window open. A terrible experience. I’d strongly advise people to avoid this hotel.

The balcony was the highlight, with an astonishing view. The room itself was clean but basic, and the hotel was nicely decorated. Staff were very friendly, and breakfast was simply amazing, with plenty of choices. It’s also perfectly located for exploring Batumi.

The room was tiny, with nowhere to put our bags, and the queen bed they gave us wasn’t the king bed they had promised. When we walked in, there were mosquitoes and flies everywhere. They used a mosquito killer, but then the room smelled terrible. The bathroom smelled bad too, and only hot water came out. They said there was a problem. One of my worst hotel experiences. The staff said there was nothing they could do and that they had no other room.
