The warm welcome and convenient location were the good parts, and they let us leave our bags at reception after checkout, which we appreciated. We also had air conditioning, thankfully. The host is welcoming, and there’s room for improvement. We’d booked a double but got a top-floor room with four single beds and a courtyard-facing window. No balcony, either, and pushing two beds together didn’t work for us. The room wasn’t very clean, the sheets were stained, and the walls weren’t clean. There was no shower stall. The water went off once for a few minutes, and the fridge didn’t work even though its light came on. The toilet sometimes had a very unpleasant sewer smell. Of six lamps, only one had a shade and one was broken. They cleaned once during our seven days, and only after we asked; the bedsheets weren’t changed. Breakfasts were limited and repetitive, though there was enough to fill up on. This felt more like a 2-star place than a 3-star one.

The balcony handle was broken, and our courtyard-facing windows meant it could get noisy. Over the week, nobody cleaned the room or changed the towels, and we had to take out our own trash. The Wi-Fi was so weak that I had to sit by the door the whole time.
