Mardi Plaza Hotel

The rooms are really good, and the staff are nice. It’s a small hotel on the top floor of a mall. Breakfast was good, though it could have had a bit more choice. There’s also a huge pool and a gym.

The staff are lovely, and the pool upstairs is the big draw. The room was only okay, though. What bothered me most was the smell of smoke.

The reception staff were smiling and attentive every time, and they’re the reason for the star. The rest of my three days there left a pretty bad impression. The hotel is on the fourth floor of a small mall, and security closes the gate at 23:00, so you can end up outside waiting. The door from the parking area also gets closed early. The room was clean, but needs renovation. The carpet was old and dirty, the bathroom door was affected by moisture, and I had to wait 5-7 minutes for hot water. There was no heater in the room, just A/C. Breakfast was poor and cold on the first day. On the second day they served us one plate with no choices. It was only normal and hot on the third day, when a group arrived. I heard later that there had been only a few customers during the first two days, so maybe that was why.

The location is great and the rate is reasonable. Since the hotel is inside a mall, it feels pretty conventional. The staff are friendly, and manager Salome is both knowledgeable and kind.
