A friendly hostess at this budget-friendly family hotel near Gonio Castle.

The roof had uneven concrete floors, and the dust made it unpleasant to practice yoga there. They'd put pallets to use as tables and tires as chairs. That could've been creative if things had been comfortable and clean. At least the mountain view was nice. I rented the house for a yoga tour. The owners sent photos of a gorgeous kitchen, but the walls were bare concrete in reality, and the whole second floor was in poor shape. Nearly every room had something wrong, with leaking faucets or toilets, or lights that didn't work. There was no internet for the first two days. Workers dug a pit along the whole street in front of the house, so every trip into town meant walking through mud. It was temporary, but they didn't warn us. They tried to fix things before we paid the rent, then disappeared. Four people left the tour because of the conditions. I called the owner to discuss a price reduction. He promised to come, but I never saw him again. I also overpaid for one night by mistake, and they didn't return the money. Draw your own conclusions, gentlemen. The views from the hotel's top deck are magnificent, and the sea is close enough for a pleasant walk to see the local scene. The air feels intoxicating, you just want to keep breathing it in. Our hosts were very nice, and the place was clean and cozy, with a friendly atmosphere that made us feel right at home.
